I must preface this bio with the notion that I don't really enjoy writing something about myself like this.

I am a photographer.  I love all aspects of the photography spectrum, from the purest of black & white film processing to the most intricate of digital manipulation.  Though I love the ease and instant gratification of  digital photography, I still can't leave behind film and it's sometimes suprising capabilities. My favorite photographs are vivid in color and texture, or beautiful moments captured simply in black & white film.  I like to stray from the norm, utilizing not only computer-generated manipulations, but camera ones as well.  There's nothing more mysterious and magical about cross-processed images or ones taken with a simple box camera.  A little black plastic toy camera named Diana is still my favorite for photography.  Her images are sometimes etherial, sometimes wicked, but always a fun suprise.

There is something beautiful and gratifying about capturing a moment, an event, a life, a beginning on film.  Whether it's wedding photography, nature, or my own Sunday afternoon adventures, I take pride in the originality and fun of my work.  I approach my job as a photographer with elements of spontenaiety, artistic vision and freedom.

My college coursework includes all things artistic.  Photography, digital imaging, portraiture, design, ceramics, and sewing are just some of the classes I have enjoyed.
